3. Beach Drive Trail
If you are into biking or running, I recommend taking a trail from the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station in Bethesda to Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Metro station in Northwest Washington. You can park your car at the Grosvenor station and ride south along Rockville Pike to Grosvenor Lane near Beach Drive. Continue south along Beach Drive until you reach the Rock Creek Trail. To return, you can take the Red Line back to Grosvenor. Overall distance is about 14 miles. Click here for information about Rock Creek Trails.
4. Rockville Panic Room
Rockville Panic Room is for those who have inquisitive personalities and looking for a thrilling experience. Here is how it works: You and a group of friends are locked in a room, and you have 60 minutes to escape by solving a series of puzzles using your deduction skills and clues found throughout the room! Before heading to Rockville Panic Room, make sure to read a few of Sherlock Homes stories. Click here for more information about Rockville Panic Room.
5. Glen Echo Park
Glen Echo Park features year-round activities in dance, theater, visual arts and environmental education. Make sure to take a ride on an antique carousel, have a picnic, learn a new dance style in the Spanish Ballroom, or attend an art show or special event.
